Adventures in Reading and Writing is the foundation for creating lifelong reading and writing skills. From the first time your child picks up a book and then a pencil they will come to understand the connection between the written word and recording words of their own on paper.

Goals and Accomplishments

The goal of helping your child understand the connections between reading and writing start with the introduction to a large variety of reading material from simple fiction and learning a story structure and parts and moving forward into nonfiction to gain important comprehension and critical thinking skills.

Learning to read with understanding and learning the parts of a story such as character, plot, theme, setting, conflict and resolution is vital. Along with recognizing these parts in a story, your child will begin to read between the lines, using the skills the author has introduced to begin to produce writing in the same way.

What Our Courses Will Accomplish

All our courses are taught to awaken the love of reading and writing.  There is more to language arts than just words, but imagination, excitement, self-expression, trying of new words, experimenting with word patterns, organization of thoughts, and understanding the messages every author wants a reader to know.

We encourage your children to read, share ideas both verbally and on paper as writers. Through a variety of themes and topics we will teach the basics of writing structure, how to use words effectively and with confidence, and to develop the skills to write lock a confident and accomplished author.

Policy: You get a 100% credit back to your Kooyaya’s account a week before the 1st class starts. After the class starts, a week notice is required and refund is prorated base. All refund is credited back to your Kooyaya’s account for future purchase, no expiration. For cash refund, 5% surcharge fee will be applied.

If the enrollments are less than three, Kooyaya reserves the rights to change or cancel the class. There is no refund for the missed classes. Make-up classes or online recorded videos can be provided, Kooyaya reserves the rights of final explanation. When you place an order in whole year package which includes fall, winter and spring sessions, you will get a 5% discount.
